Loses to NAIT make it 6 in a row

The Voyageurs dropped both games to the NAIT Ooks this past weekend, losing at home 6-3 and on the road by a tally of 9-2.

On Friday at home the Voyageurs were in the game until a third period goal by Steven Pratt to make it 5-3, Brett Peppler had a hat-trick for the Ooks and was also named the player of the game.

Shane Mainprize started that game, but did not finish after giving up 3 goals on 8 shots.

Chris Glen had two power-play goals in the game, Matt Gray had the other Voyageur tally.

On Saturday in Edmonton it only got uglier for the Voyageurs as the lost 9-2, Brett Peppler and Jeff Topilko each had a hat-trick in the game, Payton Proskurniak also had two goals.

Colin Port and Taylor Morgan had the goals from LLB as they Voyageurs lost for the 6th time in a row.

The Voyageurs line-up has been hurting with the following players missing at least one of the weekends' games; Ian Hall, Chad Plouffe, Mick Pawlyshyn, Reid Mitchell, Spencer Brooks and Codie Kightley.

This weekend Portage looks for it's first win since a 4-3 win over MacEwan on October 17th.

The Voyageurs play only one game this weekend, in Camrose against the 6-3-1 Vikings
