The Dakota college at Bottineau Lumberjacks were in Northern Alberta this weekend too play two games at the centennial arena.
The small team from North Dakota was able to pull out to a 2-1 lead on Friday before the Voyageurs made it 2-2 and eventually overtook the lead in the 3rd period to win 7-2.
After Jarvis Ducharme made it 2-2 on a PP goal, the Voyageurs got 5 straight goals in the third, tallies came from, Chris Glen(2), Matt Gray, Cody Mapes and Ryan Hill.
Cody Mapes had the 1st Portage goal Friday, Shane Mainprize made 23 saves for the win.
On Saturday afternoon the Voyageurs jumped all over the Lumberjacks, scoring 7 goals in the 3rd to prevail 10-3.
The Voyageurs got goals from Ian Hall(2), Brock Munro(2), Gerald Desjerlais, Leo Keefer, Colin Port, Brendan Lamb, Cody Mapes.
Evan Kurylo got the win in goal Saturday.

Voyageurs split on the road
Our Portage Voyageurs were able to take a 7-3 victory over the Augustana Vikings on Friday night in Camrose, the Voyageurs scored 3 goals in the 1st period to put themselves ahead of the home Vikings.
This weekend was the first time Portage had a full 20-man roster in a few weeks and they made it count.
Cody Mapes had a pair, other Voyageur goals came from, Chris Glen, Brock Munro, Ian Hall, Taylor Morgan and Daryl Gagnon. Scott Orth made 18 saves for the win Friday night.
On Saturday the Voyageurs travelled down to Leduc to play the MacEwan Griffins, a team they will be competing all year with for the final playoff position.
The Griffins got out to an early lead and were able to hold it for the remainder of the matchup, winning 4-3 on home ice.
Daryl Gagnon, Jarvis Ducharme and Taylor Morgan had the tallies for Portage; Scott Orth made 30 saves in a losing effort.
The Voyageurs next home games are Dec 18th and 19th as they host Bottineau for 2 exhibition games.
The next game where points matter on home ice for Portage is January 8th as they host the same MacEwan Griffins.
