Voyageurs open season with losses in Calgary

The Portage Voyageurs didn't have a lot of luck this past weekend in Calgary, as they dropped two contests with the Mount Royal Cougars, 3-0 and 5-1.

Cougar forward Ernie Stewart had a hat-trick in the first game of the weekend as the Cougars rolled to a 3-zip win, on Saturday, Chris Glen had the only Voyageur goal in a 5-1 loss.

Voyageurs goaltender Scott Orth started both games and made 64 saves in two games.

Orth will start again for the Voyageurs on Friday night when they host MacEwan.
